I have been trying to wear everything in my closet lately. Yes, I have a bit of a problem…and I keep adding to the collection…sigh…if only I felt a little more buyer’s remorse, but not this girl. My latest conquest is this cute cropped tank top in a bold and bright print from Urban Outfitters, Since I am the proud owner of a JLo booty, cropped tops can be a little tricky for my body shape so I paired it with this maxi dress, purchased last year (but get something similar at American Apparel). The jacket is at least 2 years old, but find a cropped anorak at Zara, I just recently saw an army green one there, and it’s a little more structured than the classic anorak. Have fun with your older pieces, they are probably not ready to retire yet!

casual day
It can be so easy to take a casual outfit to the next level, with the right accessories. I bought this cute knit sweater on sale at American Eagle, $40! Instead of jeans, I wanted to kick it up a notch with a pair of green skinny pants, from Zara also $40. The Michael Kors boots are a few years old now, purchased at Holt Renfrew, the Theodora and Callum scarf is from Anthropologie, on sale for $80. For me it’s all about the details, and combining texture with colour makes your look more interesting. Casual doesn’t need to mean baggy jeans and a hoodie, putting yourself together and looking good will make you feel good! You can ditch the heels if you want, this outfit would be equally as cute with a pair of riding boots, or ballet flats.
how would you wear these?
I saw these at Zara when I was shopping with my sister yesterday. I didn’t buy them, I was a little on the fence as to how many times I would actually wear them. I love the pattern, and the shape of the shoe, but I don’t love the high gloss gold heel. They would be pretty cute with some rugged skinny jeans and a subtle white t-shirt. How would you wear these, or would you wear them at all? They had a price tag of $109, which isn’t so bad – but if only worn once then that isn’t a good price, is it? Are you on team “shoe”, or team “save your wallet”?
red lips, pink sweater
Here’s my inspiration, a beautiful (but pricey) Marc Jacobs sweater.
Like I always say, you don’t have to spend a fortune to achieve a certain look, so here’s my attempt! The sweater is from ZARA, it was 60 bones as opposed to the MJ sweater for 260 bones. Since the sweater is pretty bulky, and because I have a petite frame, its easy for pieces to overwhelm my figure, so I added balance with a pair of very simple skinnies, and taupe boots. The taupe boots are so old, I think I got them about 5 years ago, and I still wear them A LOT. The necklace adds a bit of glamour, along with the red lips! The necklace was purchased a while ago at Piperlime, around 50 bones.
